The World Premiere of Carmen Maria Machado’s award winning memoir In The Dream House adaptated for stage by Leo Lorena Wyss.

The word ‘archive’ comes from the ancient Greek ‘ἀρχεῖον: arkheion’, ‘the house of the ruler’. What is included in the archive – or excluded from it – is a political act. There are always archivists: a person or group of people, who decide, what is valuable and what is not.

Sometimes stories are not even told.

Sometimes they are not considered important enough to be preserved.

Sometimes they are deliberately destroyed.

So what's left?

Gaps where people cannot see themselves.

Holes that make it impossible to give oneself a context.

Empty space where you believe you're the only one.

I enter into the archive: that domestic violence between partners of the same gender identity is possible, that it’s not uncommon and that it can look something like this.
